Pookoya Thangal Memorial Government College, Perinthalmanna came into existence in July 1975, as a resonance to the pressing demand of the public for an institution providing University Education to the younger generation of Perinthalmanna and its Suburbs.
The college was upgraded as Degree College from the academic year 1991-92 and PG Course started during 2001-02. The College has been included under Sections 2(f) & 12(B) of UGC act since 2007.
