Don Bosco Arts & Science College had a humble beginning in 1994 as a Parallel College, offering pre-degree, undergraduate and postgraduate courses of Calicut University for about 600 students, with Fr. Thomas Poovelickal SDB as Rector and Manager, and Bro. ShajiKalavanal SDB as Principal.It was in 2002 that Don Bosco Parallel College was elevated to an affiliated Self-Financing College of Kannur University, with Master of Computer Applications (MCA) as its only academic programme. Two new postgraduate programmes, Master of Communication and Journalism (MCJ) and Master of Social Work (MSW), were introduced in 2003. Three undergraduate programmes, BA English Literature, BCom and BSc Mathematics were launched in 2005. Savio Home, a full-fledged men’s hostel was blessed in 2006.
